Leo
Up early ( for us!) as we were looking after Leo while Mum took Jude to his swimming class.
His dad was working.
He is such a delight. So placid. Chattering away. Now can stand alone for a few minutes and almost walking.
He isn’t one until November but having an older brother helps.
Playing none stop for an hour and then climbed up onto my lap and fell asleep until mum and Jude returned. Quickly followed by dad. Must say I nearly nodded off too!
( see extra)
We came home with some sticks of rhubarb.
Rhys had grown from seed. I can’t believe how big the plant is. Never thought you could grow it from seed, and certainly not be picking it in the first year.
He is really proud of his vegetable plot. This is the first year he has grown anything. His strawberries are still fruiting. Sweet corn finished and sprouts in.
Also some onions. He gave me some plants he had left. Again all grown from seed.
He certainly has green fingers.
We have enjoyed the rhubarb in a crumble, along with some apples, for tea.
After a chilly start is has been a much warmer and sunny afternoon.
I did some dead heading and cutting back and then sat out reading the paper.
Not quite an Indian Summer but not too bad for the time of year.
