Chasing the light has
always been fun for me - but 
mind the speed limits!

I was up about 5:30 in the dark as it is now. I decided I should combine a jaunt to Vantage Point on the river and a stop at the grocery store. I was dawdling waiting for the sun to come up when I suddenly realized there was colour behind my mountains.

Then it was a mad scramble to get out the door and off down the road. As I backed out the car it was raining lightly. Heading west, I kept looking at the morning colour spreading across the sky in my rear view mirror. 

By the time I got to Vantage Point most of the reds were already gone. I was happy to capture the warm glow in the sky and reflected in the river. I got my shots with my mountains from different spots, then headed for the store. 

I'm home with my breakfast and coffee. My daughter would like to go for a drive today. I will have to wait for her to get up while I tinker.
