Bye Eda!

I loved what Eda had chosen for her outfit this morning so asked her to pose for me out on the terrace in the morning sun.

Another lovely morning, what a contrasting week + I have had. Warm and moist last weekend, humid at times and rain but as the week arrived temperatures dropped but glorious sunshine, which was warm when you were in it, arrived to replace to sticky dampness.

Today Grace and Eda were going to the opticians, Eda has occasionally complained of things being blurry but there is no other evidence of an issue. Grace needed to go so made an appt for them both.  Unfortunately the young man who dealt with them before they saw the optician had no experience with children and she was totally freaked out by the machine that photographs the back of the eye, so we are no wiser. But Grace had a satisfactory appointment and then she took Eda for a treat.

Next week should be a bit less hectic for them all  though of course the building work will go on, K has gone on holiday so things may take a little longer but I’m hoping all the roof windows will be replaced when we come down again in a couple of weeks.

Eda is holding a tiny bunny, a first gift from me as it came with a matching baby grow.  I gave it to her 7 years ago when she was born (she is 7 on the 28th ) and we will be down for her party on the 29th. It will be Jude’s party too as she is 4 on the 21st, next Saturday, but they are going away for the weekend to South Devon, with friends and neighbours. Jude is excited about having a holiday birthday.

September is a busy month with the girls birthdays being just a week apart, it’s even more busy if Grace has a show in September but I’m not complaining.

Home now but looking forward to returning already.
