Bright and sunny
MrM left at the crack of dawn for a day's fishing near Wetherby. (He ended up in the Dales though.) I needed to get out of bed earlier than usual too, for an appointment with the GP. Thankfully, she halved the amount of statin I'm taking, but also prescribed some more medication in the hope of lowering my blood pressure.
Next stop was the pharmacy, to pick up the prescription. They had the medication in stock, but no pharmacist to check that it had been dispensed properly, could I come back in an hour? Nope, decided to go home to hang the washing out and tackle a couple of other things, and walk back later.
So, this afternoon, when I set off for the pharmacy, it was bright and sunny, glorious in fact. Safe to leave the washing out, I thought...
How wrong can you be?! Twenty minutes later, as I walked into Holmfirth, the sky turned black and the heavens opened - a torrential rainstorm, followed by hail! Fortunately, I was wearing a light water proof jacket. The precipitation didn't last long, but my jeans were soaked through. And my almost-dry washing was sodden. Oh joy!
A good evening though - Soul Choir for the first time since mid-July.
