Elected

Something we haven’t seen for a while today - sunshine, warmth and a total absence of rain! Given that I’m on holiday next week, this could be the last chance to get out on the bike before it’s laid up for the winter. It’s Footlights AGM at The Grand tonight, and parking will be tricky, so the bike seemed the best option. And it was a very pleasant ride down there on the back roads.
An interesting AGM and it was good to hear that Footlights is doing well and planning for the future. We also had to elect the board of trustees for the next twelve months - some were standing for re-election but some were new to the Theatre and, as there were more candidates than positions available, we members needed to vote for who we wanted. Our Director was one of those standing for re-election and all us Blackadder cast members were given firm instructions as to how we should cast our votes!
The ride home was somewhat chilly though - it was a very clear night and it is the end of September after all. However, the forecast is good for the rest of the week and I’m going through to Barrow tomorrow. I reckon a nice ride out along the coast road will be just the ticket…
