Pack Your Bags

I have a feeling next week is going to be very busy, so we have started packing for our holiday today. There are still a few things that are in the wash/on the ironing pile, but it’s looking like we’ll be able to get away with one big case between us. The only issue might be with the weight, so I’m going to pop it on the scales when I’m at the gym tomorrow and check we’re under the 22kg limit. There’s not a lot going in hand luggage, so we can always move a few things if necessary.
Whilst I was checking the travel insurance I noticed they didn’t have a note of all our pre-existing medical conditions - there have been some new diagnoses since we last travelled in 2018! After a quick phone call, and a conversation with a very helpful man, we are now fully covered, including our existing conditions (the old age favourites of Type 2 and high blood pressure!) He even gave me the 24hr Medical Emergency number, but had the decency to say he hoped we wouldn’t need to use it. He’s not the only one who hopes that!
No gigs until the end of the month means a rare Saturday night out with Mrs C tonight. We’re going to see the new Kenneth Branagh / Hercule Poirot film, “A Haunting in Venice”. We’ve enjoyed Branagh’s previous Poirot films so are hoping this is in the same vein.
