Geneva still
We met for breakfast, checked out and headed out, by a couple of buses, to Genève Lido on the other side of the lake and further up.
It was an incredibly well set out water park with amazing views and very few people. 3 of us had a go on the water slide. I loved it. Freezing up there on top though. So we swam some lengths, bobbed around, chatted, had hot showers and left to find lunch at a food festival.
Kebabs and beers next to another ‘beach’ on the lake, and I couldn’t resist a last, and 5th dip. Emcoops and I found a wall to change behind and enjoyed the water once more before heading back to the hotel to collect our luggage, before catching a train to the airport.
A delayed plane, a closed Piccadilly Line and some weird Sunday travel hiccups meant our journey home was a tad complicated but it didn’t matter. We were 8 happy swimmers who’d had an amazing weekend.
Lovely to fly over the alps in daylight. Glorious.
