Fantastic

Another morning walk ticked off. It was cooler and crisp outside again. I continue to enjoy the audio version of "Nothing but the Truth: The Memoir of an Unlikely Lawyer" as I walk around the block, back with just enough time to eat my overnight oats and drink some coffee before the morning meetings.

After the meetings, I quickly tidied the table behind my desk, which was cluttered, mainly with the books I'd been gifted for my birthday. I put out another present, the Christmas Countdown calendar, as the 16th of September marks 100 days until Christmas. I also put away some of the books. My brother bought me "Wham! George and Me" -  Andrew Ridgeley's memoir. I read the introduction, and it inspired me to play Wham's first album, Fantastic, loud in my headphones. Based on the intro, I'll like the book, but I must finish the partially read books first.

At the end of the day, I boarded a train to Waterloo. While I was travelling, G messaged to say she was also on her way and we could meet at the station. When we met, she was all glamourous in sunglasses and a holiday tan; we walked to Caravan - a restaurant near London Bridge. When we arrived, we found the two Marks waiting, and just as we sat, L joined us. We had a lovely evening reunion. L has a fantastic job as an Events Manager and is doing a lot of travelling. We chatted, consumed red wine, and I had a diet unfriendly "Dingley dell" pork schnitzel with a fried egg (plus mustard dill cream, pickles & sage) and french fries. Delicious and excellent company. It's so nice we can all fall right back into where we left off two years ago.
