Moon Rise

I must admit I completely missed the fact that there was a moon eclipse last night (Tuesday) and didn’t even look for the moon despite the clear skies.

Tonight, however, we see the moon rise as we’re driving home - a huge red globe rising above the land as we drive along the A55.  There’s nowhere to stop to gain a shot, but G - thoughtful as ever - drives down to Rhos on Sea where we see it rising over the water, no longer red but golden, its light reflected in the water.

There’s an observer down by the water’s edge and with a but of adjustment to my position on the old jetty, I manage to catch him in a perfect position.

It’s hard to get an idea of the moon’s colour in this shot, so there’s an extra taken through a longer lens.

Apologies for the late posting of this ‘person’ shot, but I’m tagging it for Wide Wednesday - thanks to Bobsblips as always.

Thanks also for the lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s dragons. I’m gradually catching up ……
