Ceòthach a-rithist

Four of us set out to do the walk which I recce'd last week.  We were far from alone - I've never seen the path up to the Ben so busy. There was a very large group of American hikers, another group of German hikers, a couple of student groups and various families and friend groups which made for a convivial atmosphere.

When we were half way to Loch a' Choire the mist came down, making it even more atmospheric.  I've never seen it so misty and once we got the loch we decided to retrace our steps rather than cutting across to the Bealach as that path is less well-defined and more exposed.

Back home I had poached eggs for lunch - I have now mastered the art of making them in the microwave. The key is a cocktail stick to pierce the yolks, cooking for 30 secs, resting for 30 secs and cooking for another 30 secs.  As I learnt from experience cooking for longer than 30 secs or not allowing a long enough resting period do lead to egg decorated microwave interiors.

Choisich mi anns na beanntan. Bha ceò ann ach bha e glè thrang cuideachd. 'S e cho trang 's a ghabas. Chòrd e rium.
