Early Walk…

… It’s lovely to see the heron, and especially nice to see the dog and heron react to one another. (This is what you miss when you don’t share your life with a pet. All the little dramas Out There).
Result of the encounter? One reasonably hasty exit performed with grace by heron (no feathers ruffled) and a lot of heavy huffing and posing from the canine contingent. (Who felt he’d won whatever it was, owing to having had the last word).

So. He’s gone home. We miss him already. (He’s a very sweet and gentle character). The house is too quiet. We pretended an imaginary dog sat between us on the sofa this evening. (Down Shep).

Himself put up a cupboard. (Very clever).
I did some washing; doggy towels and bedding, just because I could. (Not clever).

What will the new week bring?
I wonder.
