On the way to Newcastle

This morning we made our way to Adelaide airport to fly to Newcastle (NSW). The plane followed the coast northwards from Sydney (see photo)The flight only took about 90minutes, then it was a 40 minute drive to my sister and b-i-l's house inland at Maitland in the Hunter Valley.  It felt good to be "home " after two weeks of travelling. 
In extras, Marcus, the tame Australian Magpie, soon appeared on the patio singing for food! He is much more tuneful than Magpies in UK. However, many other Aussie birds sound very raucous to our ears.
