... sums it up nicely

All night it kept me awake.. thunder and rain.. all day it has not let up.. not once.  Harder, softer... dark and gloomy. I did venture out briefly with my eldest daughter who braved a 20 minute walk and then a drive to get here for lunch. We went in to town to post an ebay parcel and to get the diamond checked at the jeweller.  Sad to say (but we knew it deep down) it is just cut glass.. most likely but definitely not a diamond. Ah well.. it was a happy and exciting thought. That sort of thing always happens to other people!
There has been a bit of industry here.. making tallow is a long and slow process but smells delicious.. my tummy is rumbling so I had better go and cook something we can eat!!
Just seen on the news that a very nearby village recorded 98mm rain in past 24hours.. so I am guessing that we have had much the same!!!!
