Smurftown!

Big ol’ day today. I started driving at 07:20 because the only campsite in town wouldn’t let me book but said they had a big group and if I arrived between 12 and 2pm she’d try to fit me in. Maybe they say that to everyone but I wasn’t taking any risks. I arrived at 11:59! It’s a magnificent campsite and I’m very pleased. 

I feel like I haven’t been on my bike for weeks so I looked up my shortest ride and headed on out. It also happens to be the place I wanted to visit here the most. I loved the smurfs Christmas song! (I was only 7 - it doesn’t sound as good as I remember!) I also had two smurfs that I think were on garage tokens that dad collected - Astro Smurf and another which I can’t remember. They were lovely weighty rubber-type models.

Anyway, back to today and I find myself exploring Smurf village. If I wasn’t getting attacked by a fly, I might have stayed longer but I had a quick walk around, admired the Smurf murals, took a few snaps and legged it,

It’s magnificent to be back in the mountains again.
