Sunshine and Showers
It’s been a very lazy day for me today. At the time I like to get going the rain was pounding on the window and it was very dark. I knew the tide was at its lowest so that was yet another disincentive to come out from under the duvet.
By 10am the rain had stopped and a Selkie popped in for coffee with her baby granddaughter who decided to forgo our company by falling asleep in her pram.
She was still asleep when we left together. I wanted to see if I could get an appointment with a nurse at the doctors’ surgery. I’m finding it difficult to cope with being completely deaf in one ear- it’s strangely discombobulating not hearing the world in 3D as it were and actually not hearing what people are saying to me. I have an appointment for tomorrow, so fingers crossed she can sort me out.
By the time lunch time came it was sunny and at high tide 4 of us made it into a lively sea that bounced us about and splashed us in equal measure. There was no serious swimming but it was great fun.
The blip is my view from the window of two seabirds in balletic mode as they take off from the roof of the Red Shed next door.
