Taking Life as it Comes

It was one of those mornings when I didn’t have an agenda. The sun was shining, the sea was calm and it was lovely to stroll down the Street to get a coffee at Julia’s. I met another coffee drinker there and we got chatting as you do and an hour had passed in the blink of an eye.

We parted eventually and continuing my walk I bumped into 2 Selkies to chat to, bought some milk and a calendar in that order and then got a text message from another Selkie wondering if she could pop in for a coffee. She is slightly deaf and I am now quite deaf so it was an interesting time as we talked directly to our good ears.
I had been given an appointment to have my ear looked at by a nurse at the Practice at lunch time today but the receptionist phoned earlier to say they couldn’t syringe the ears of visitors so I’m back to square one - a visitor, deaf as a post in one ear.
I thought it was too good to be true to have attention so quickly and thus it proved to be.

It was still beautifully sunny after lunch when 5 of us gathered to be bounced about on a sea that was no longer calm. You don’t have to hear when you’re out on the waves which counts as a plus.
