Changing colours of bracken

The day has run away with me once again. It was damp this morning, not really raining but a few spots that was once again much less than forecast. The bracken is now turning quite quickly as can be seen here. I noticed fungi on my walk in the woods with Xena, but no decent specimens that haven't already been nibbled.

I realised that although I have chosen prints for the next two camera club print competitions, I forgot about the annual 'three-of-a-kind' competition which is coming up soon. I went trawling through all my old image folders to see what I could find that would be suitable for this competition, and ended up working on some images from my trip to Venice in 2018. Once I started on that I seemed to lose track of time, and so was almost late for my golf game with the ladies from my golf group.

The afternoon was warm and dry, even sunny at times, and I enjoyed playing 6 holes with the ladies. I played well today which was very pleasing. I never had time to warm up so maybe that is the answer to playing well?!

After golf and after another walk for Xena, I continued faffing about with suitable triptychs for this competition. I think I have now come up with something suitable.

Tomorrow is Gavin's birthday, so I wrapped his presents today. He is very difficult to buy for as he never wants anything but I have managed to find a few small things that I think he needs.
