Garden visitors
Today is Gavin's birthday, but he left home by 6am so I have not seen him yet although I did phone him to wish him happy birthday.
It was mildly damp this morning but Xena surprisingly did not get muddy on her dog walk with Fiona today. She had great fun playing with the other Vizslas on the walk.
I went off to my ladies group golf lesson, thinking it was going to rain but instead we had sunshine and spent the lesson outside doing chipping and putting drills. After the lesson our group stayed on for a coffee in the cafe there.
I filled up the bird feeders today and of course in addition to the small birds the squirrels were all over them too. Here is a collection of some of the visitors we had today, blue tits, coal tits and of course squirrels.
I could not help laughing at Keir Starmer's sausages gaffe - he must have been thinking about his dinner when that slipped out!
I am now about to go up to London, where we are having Gavin's birthday dinner at an italian restaurant - London is convenient as Luke, Meriel, Gavin and Tommy are already there so will come on to dinner from work, and London is a very quick train ride from Cambridge for Adam and Anna. Unfortunately Inca is too busy so cannot join us.
