As I Walked Out One September morning

It was another glorious day here. We have been very lucky with the weather lately, considering what others have been experiencing. There was a heavy shower, conveniently after our 9am sunny dip , but the sun appeared  almost instantly, remaining while 3 of us to drove through the countryside down to the the first Barrier  at St Mary’s Holm and Celina Rupp’s café. It was very busy but for the overflow they opened another room  with a view over the Flow to the Italian Chapel in the distance. We had a hearty lunch and a look round the shop before heading home. There was another heavy shower of rain as we hit Kirkwall but by the time we reached Finstown and then Stromness it was beautifully sunny once again. 
It’s been a lovely day out in the company of Sally and WendyF. I feel very spoiled.

My blip was taken on the way to the slip this morning, a 10 minute walk that I have taken every day for 2 months.
