I'm not very good at identifying little brown birds - I don't pretend to be - but I think today's offering from the reserve is a spotted flycatcher.  An extra is included which shows more detail on the head feathers.  As always, if any of you can confirm or deny I'd be very grateful.  Sorry to be using you so blatantly!

Again I got up early while the sky was wonderfully blue and it was really quite warm.  Nevertheless I was mildly surprised to see damselflies and butterflies.  And I actually got home five minutes before the rain started.

The rest of the day's been much as usual.  A certain amount of cleaning, tidying and the inevitable clothes wash, plus I've finished my previous book and begun Rory Stewart to keep my brain ticking over.  And yes, to those who asked, last night's cauliflower cheese went down well ;))
