Ordinary Day

An ordinary day and how grateful I am for it. The damp dull weather eased this afternoon and revealed blue sky and sunshine. Merlin and I took the opportunity to walk to the allotment and pick some greens to go with our chilli for dinner.

Afterwords as it was still dry, I popped outside do a little gardening - there’s a lot of pruning and tidying to do so I made a start on an unruly lavender hedge in the front garden. The light gradually faded and the temperature dropped to a chilly 9 degrees so I retreated indoors. I’m now in the warm enjoying Friday evening with ‘the boys’.

Also today, the flat tyre on the car has been replaced and I had a lovely phone conversation with my sister.
