Day at a Time

Apple Day

At the Community Orchard today. A successful event with a bountiful harvest. The orchard volunteers picked the apples before the trees could be stripped by the commercial enterprise which has spoiled things in the past few years. Many people donated surplus apples too. There was apple crushing and juicing, apple fritters being made on a camping stove and a wonderful selection of cakes (extra). There was a good turn out and it was a happy and sociable morning.

Earlier I'd  been at the podiatrist for a bit of post-Kiltwalk attention. Good to have this maintenance;  my feet work hard and have to be looked after. Later I'll be catching up with my daughter over a pizza.

A good day.
