An seachdamh latha
Last night was a lot of fun - more good food, more good company and chat plus live traditional music, some traditional dancing and some singing. A great end to the twinning visit. As well as visiting Confolens and getting to know the French participants better, I've also enjoyed getting to know my fellow travellers from Pitlochry better.
Much of the day was spent on the road as we headed north from Confolens to Cherbourg. The sun was mainly shining and we made use if the péage making the journey straightforward.
We headed over to T's parents old place before starting journey proper to collect items of sentimental value - photos, papers, cds and the "La Lande Olympic Trophies" which T's mother would hand out to prize-winners in competitions she would organise on family visits. Lots of memories.
We are now settled into our hotel overlooking the water at Cherbourg. Our meal tonight was very tasty-including herring ice-cream to start. Mum.
Looking forward to exploring tomorrow (and getting some much needed steps in)
