And the sun goes down.....

Another busy one for me and a breakthrough for Mrs F.
She drove up to St Andrews to visit Littlemiss for the day ,and for someone who hates driving on the city bypass it was quite an achievement.
I headed next door this morning to help wee brother bring in the 99 blks from the field to the shed. It all went like clockwork, unlike some years, which was a bonus.
We are still busy with the harvest and that's the first lot of cattle in for the winter.
After lunch my combine contractor made a start on a field of spring barley. It was between 18/19.5% so kept going.I spent the afternoon carting in grain.Had the field done by 5.30pm,so after a quick whiz round to check the calving cows, set about baling some of Friday's oat straw. It wasn't too bad until the sun set then the bales were getting heavy so stopped at 8pm.
One neighbour was also baling straw, and another was cutting barley too. Hopefully it stays dry this week to let us all get caught up.
We live in hope.....
