Lights Out

When I put the oven on for tea, the light flickered once and then stayed off. When the timer beeped I noticed the light had come back on. I wondered if the bulb had just come loose in its holder so I waited until the oven cooled, removed the lamp cover and gave the bulb a twist. At which point the glass bit came off in my hand! Luckily, I was able to extract the screw bit quite easily so just need to buy and fit a replacement now.
We had our first PT session in a fortnight this morning, and I approached it with some trepidation as I wasn’t sure what effect a week of cakes for breakfast would have had on my weight and strength. Well, it seems it was just the right diet as not only had I not put on any weight, but I was able to achieve PBs in a couple of the exercises. I’d set myself a goal of being able to squat 100kg by Christmas, but think I’ll have to revise that upwards as I comfortably managed 95kg this morning.
Obviously I’m stronger than I thought, which might explain why the bulb came apart in my hands when I twisted it!
