Escape

Back blip for yesterday (Saturday) My life has taken an unexpected turn. Due to stress at work, which has been building over many months, in fact a whole year, I reluctantly went to the GP on Friday, and he immediately signed me off work.

With a month to try and heal, I have escaped to Northumberland on my own to try and rest for a week.

I have promised myself that this is a time to focus on me. Unfortunately retirement is not an option for me yet - I’m nearly 59, but I may have to reevaluate my options. This employer has no understanding and I’ve become disillusioned by them. But for now, I’m not thinking about it.

After a 300 mile drive, I unpacked then went for a walk to the castle and beach. This beach is calling me again today.
