Today's the day ........................ for Autumn Joy

Boy did it rain here today!

In fact, It absolutely poured down, filling the gutters to overflowing and making lagoons on the road because the drains couldn't cope with that amount of rain.  And it kept going until halfway through the afternoon when unbelievably, it stopped - and a watery sun came out.  After half an hour - it was as if the deluge had never happened.  All the rain-battered flowers pulled themselves together and pretended that it had been a lovely autumn day all along.

The ones above are a white hydrangea that gets a tinge of pink at this time of the year - and in the middle a glorious deep pink sedum, a variety aptly named - 'Autumn Joy' ...................!
