River of Flowers

Tuesday: Blue Borage & Yellow Corn Marigolds

Heavy rain during the night disappeared as the sun came up, a chilly 12°C but fine for pottering in the garden.

Potted on some small Umbrella plants (Cyperus alternifolius) - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2612315- which will go into the greenhouse when the nights get cooler. Managed to find the “mother plant” too which has survived last winter and this year’s cool, damp summer. Might even take more cuttings, being an aquatic they root by placing upside down in water - my Mum used to love doing this! :-)x

Also potted on Wild Sea Cabbage and Jersey Walking Stick Kale - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3273018548284294429 - which will continue to stay in the sealed clear plastic container, slugs and snails are still very much around :-((

The blue sky disappeared late afternoon, grey clouds and very chilly so I settled myself down and started watching “The Last Kingdom” on Netflix
