Well, that was very loafly

My first version banana loaf bread cake was down to the last slice.  I was reminded of the old Rolo advert but I'm afraid it was too yummy to give away this time.  The second version that I took on Holz I'd made with the tin on a baking sheet to try to get more heat underneath it, and it seemed to bake a lot better.  This version whose tin was just on the shelf was almost uncooked in the middle, so I was required to taste it several times to make sure it was ok. :-)

And no, this isn't a photograph of the Northern Lights.  I think I am the only Northerner who didn't manage to see anything worth photographing.  I was also much too tired from work and in my PJs to go standing around outside, let alone bike up the nearest hill for the view like some of my friends did.  And in any case I was too busy shooting the breeze with BikerBabe on another of our fab video chats.
