Brave Butterfly
There was a downpour this afternoon. As soon as the rain stopped Mish and I went for a walk down the field. Initially it was dull but then the sun came out. I spotted fluttering and we went to investigate. At first I wasn't sure what the tiny butterfly was as it had its wings firmly closed. They were very light with a hint of beige spots and a slight yellow/peach colour at the edge. I was so surprised when it spread its wings. A small copper! Highly likely the same individual that I photographed yesterday. It has been such a poor summer for butterflies that I make no apology for posting this brave little creature two days running.
