Today's the day ....................... to be on holiday

A glorious day here today - sunshine and hardly a cloud in the blue sky throughout.  All the better because Tessa and Josie are with us for a couple of days as it's the half-term holidays.

We had a wander through Kirkcudbright this morning and took the girls to the Harbour Cottage Gallery to have a look at the new exhibition.  The above is the War Memorial, with the outline of McClellan's Castle behind.  Later on in the afternoon, it was still sunny enough to go to the coast for some beach-combing and a breath of fresh air.

It feels like we're all still on holiday ..................!
