Pink Flowers

(17/10/24)

Like anyone else, I love a pretty bouquet of flowers, and if it's pink and we're in October, then it is a perfect opportunity to photograph it! :)) (I have to say, this is a phone pic. The camera was left in the car.)

It's been a non-stop day. G didn't have to be in school but went to meet the class teacher of her ward. I am working from home because of GITEX. We've already heard how impossible the traffic has been, so it makes sense. I don't think Nara appreciated it much. He gets put out of his routine if someone is around.

I switched off at 4:30 to race out to a clinic in Jumeirah who are offering women's wellness scans etc. at a much reduced rate for BCAM. I booked G and me in for DEXA scans. I had a mammogram done. (Ugh). The package involved a consultation with a doctor. We had a young, very well-spoken and entertaining GP. He saw us after the scans to interpret the results. Some things have to change over the next few months...

We headed to Wafi from there. I needed to get my BP tablets but they were out of stock. (Yikes!) We had a quick dinner at Biella and then whizzed through Carrefour, where my blip was taken.

Back home, I went straight to my desk and worked a couple of hours before finally switching off at 1 AM. Oh, I forgot to mention - I've taken Thursday and Friday off. :))

For all the shades of pink in this image, would you please click here to help towards breast cancer support?
