The Pensioner

Four Poses

Over to the boat awhile to rub down me timbers before popping along to Ocean Terminal for my flu and covid jabs. One in each arm. Gosh, that’s interesting.
Then up town to an opening. And M&M, our neighbours, were similarly heading out on the 16 bus to arty opening events so we engaged in competitive arty banter. Knackering.
Anyway, back to us. Stills has bought an analogue photo booth (the only one in Scotland!) thanks to a rich benefactor woman from Switzerland. Money > Sense. We hobnobbed awhile and I quaffed a beer before we legged it to the RSA to see Tidelines: "A new exhibition exploring Royal Scottish Academicians’ creative responses to the sea." That’s not swimming in it or sailing on it or hauling fish out it. Or didn’t seem to be. Rather it was big blotchy scribbly canvasses.
However as the young man serving took the top off my beer bottle, I realised it was David Behrens. Yes, the younger Behrens who is doing a little piece for us. La di dah! What about that. That makes us rich benefactors too. I’ll leave you to judge where we sit in the money/sense  equation.
