Singing in the Square

Today was the last day of the Royal National Mòd  here in Oban and was to be marked by a walk through the town from the Corran Halls to Station Square by the various Gaelic choirs. The forecast was for torrential rain, with yellow and orange weather warnings, but fortunately that was wrong and when we arrived in the Square to watch, the sun was out and the sky was blue.

There was a big crowd and it was hard to see anything, but various people conducted the crowd from a small podium - see extra - and we listened to some good music.

After this we did our usual Saturday morning thing - fish from the pier and a visit to the library.

Back home, after lunch, we did some outdoor stuff - washing all the windows and sorting out the outside light; I popped down to Homebase for a new bulb. Just in time, as it happened, as the rain began to fall.

Driven inside (!),  it was time for a cuppa and a cake, then I settled down to watch an episode of ‘The Chelsea Detective’.
