Another Day

Trunk call

It’s rained for most of the day, although the sun has recently decided to make an appearance, and it’s jolly breezy, although I think in East Anglia we’ll be getting off lightly.

This morning we visited the garden centre to pick up a small present for a 90 year old lady who lives up the road.  We’ve been invited for champagne at 5 p.m.  Her husband was 90 in March and we celebrated that too.

They live in a large house two doors along from their daughter and mum still does all the gardening when it’s fine and embroidery when it isn’t.  A subject she taught when she was a teacher, amazing considering she was born deaf, but her mother made her lip read.  Her speech is excellent.

Just stuck my head out and took this picture of the lime tree hanging onto the leaves.
