Half & Half….
…Owen observed they must mean half a glass of head.
Another earlyish start to cross Kyoto to catch the ‘Romantic Train’ to Sanga. A thoroughly pleasant journey through the mountains on an historic train (replaced by a high speed jobbie on the JR network in the 1990s). After a hot walk along the river where we witnessed a white tailed eagle hunting (very exciting) we arrived to find the River Oi river boats cancelled due to high winds. The boat company very kindly drove us back to Sanga to catch the return train to Arisyihama for the bamboo forest and a walk up the ridge for spectacular views. .
Lunch in a container converted into a bar and restaurant was a triumph and deserved its 4.9 rating on the google thingy.
Home to the hotel via the Keifuku Randen Purple Tram and then the Underground
