Four go mad in Coldstream…
Wet Lips Withers, Loose Lips LeeAnne, Tiny Hands Trish and little old me! :-))
Actually Trish’s other half Stewart and their beautiful little spaniel Luca were there too but doing their best not to be associated with us. Very wise.
Those three eejits above had already run to get on the swings before a group of children who were headed in the same direction!!
A lovely day out with lunch at the wonderful cafe at Hirsel Estate where we actually ate it outside sitting in the warm sunshine!! Popped into the little pottery and saw the beautiful golden retrievers belonging to the potter. Also bought a ceramic fish for Alan’s ceramic fish wall in the pool.
Then we wandered up to the field with the Highland coos but they were only interested in eating grass and getting jiggy with each other.
Into the car and onto Chain Bridge Honey Farm where we played on tractors and London buses but didn’t hand around for long as their cafe was closed!
Decided to go to Paxton House but discovered it closed at 3pm and it was now 3.20pm. Tourist season has definitely ended! So Berwick Garden Centre was our last hope and it was great. I do love a good garden centre :-))
Got settled in the cafe with coffee and cake (I had a tray bake called Diane’s Delight, and it was! :-)) D and Jim had been playing golf at Goswick Golf Course and joined us in the cafe.
A wander round the garden centre afterwards and I bought two plant pots for the garden room and a large stuffed Christmas Robin.
Bid Trish and Stewart goodbye and we headed back to LeeAnne’s. Some chill time then off to the Ship Inn in Eyemouth where we had delicious food and much laughter. We cleared the place within an hour! :-))
Back to LeeAnne’s to relax and laugh at our memories of today.
More in extras.
I think today is my 5000th Blip and how fantastic (and apt) to spend it in the company of three blippers. Fabulous friendships that I only have because of this little corner of the internet. It has a lot to answer for!! :-)))
Thank you to all my Blip Pals on here. It’s a pleasure to know you and follow your lives. Long may Blip continue!! :-))
