White Curtain

We chose an easyish 5 mile walk for our springer's benefit, though he has improved dramatically since last week. The route took us along the River Nidd and up to the Gouthwaite Reservoir, where the water was cascading over the dam. Unfortunately the trees made it difficult to get a clear shot from any angle - the one I've posted is the best one. We then climbed up to a wood then down through the little village of Wath, returning more-or-less the way we'd come. A bit wet & muddy in places but a beautiful day & gorgeous scenery & Autumn colours. The extras show the view down across the dam (there was no access along it) and across the reservoir to the farmland & moorland beyond.
