Goldfinches

No time for photography today, except to grab a few quick shots early this morning of the goldfinches on the feeders outside the family room window.

My Christmas card production line has been temporarily put on hold because I’ve had to put on my Editor-in-Chief hat for my daughter-in-law, T, today. Her book manuscript is finished and it’s all down to me now to build the book using a program called Vellum.

So far I’ve imported the manuscript into Vellum and am already able to see how it will look, both in print and in eBook format. I’ve had a Zoom conference with T this afternoon where she was able to view the book on my screen and we’ve discussed the various designs and styles that are available, and I’ve made a few minor corrections to the text. It’s all very exciting and right up my street, but I confess I’m feeling somewhat nervous about the level of trust T is placing in me, and the responsibility of it all. Hopefully my part of the job will be finished in a couple of days and then I should be able to relax … and get back to printing Christmas cards!
