A dive down the rabbit hole occasioned by this quote (which I often used in my classes during savasana  as an illustration of quieting the mind) reveals that many cultures have a similar quote, but with different interpretations. Isn't this the way it should be with parables, stories, fables, biblical quotes, and even the Constitution? They are guidelines, not rules and should always be open to interpretation.

It's been a complicated day. I'm going to go quiet my mind now...
