Behind the scenes in the warehouse
Amongst other jobs in the morning at Fareshare, I sorted out that days donation from Warburtons. Which involves re arranging them by date, counting them by date (as above) and then entering them onto the data system for allocations. Within moments of doing this, they are on the picking lists and are being packed up to go out tomorrow. Everything to do with fresh food has to be done quickly. I was really shocked at how little food there was to go out yesterday - but I mustn’t imply that it’s some kind of worrying trend. The warehouse staff said there had been plenty on Monday. It all seems so precarious to me.
In the afternoon I went up to a local pharmacy (not my regular one) for my covid jab. The young woman behind the counter, where you check in, asked me if I was illegible. I managed not to laugh and asked her what she meant. Well you have to be over 65 she said . I’m 71 I said. Oh you look much younger she said. That was nice:)
Oddly had no discomfort at all since, not even heat in my arm. I went to the cinema in the evening to see The Apprentice. I thought it was very well acted, and showed insight into the creation of Trump in the 70s and 80s - which led us to the horror we see now. However I felt a bit dirty afterwards, for having sat through it.
