Bursting with life
Since I cleared the spent tomato plant from this pot, the borage which had seeded itself has made the most of the space and grown tall and lovely.
The morning just flew by : I did my big shop at Tesco, with some extra things to be got, as I have a friend coming this weekend. Also I bumped into a neighbour outside, and we had a good catch up.
An extremely busy afternoon at Oxfam, though somehow I managed to get it all done. Still doing battle with the new IT. It’s now clear that it’s not me being old and useless - the system is poorly designed, and badly introduced, with no training, other than live training while dealing with a queue of customers, some of whom aren’t patient. It’s not my job to do the till, but I have to be able to ‘jump on’ as we used to say in Tesco, for 10 minutes or so, to give the other person a break. You have to start some, but not all, transactions by pressing a button labelled “Hotshot’ Now what on earth does that mean?
