Kingfisher

For a long long time now, my touch wood totem has been a kingfisher and always smile if I spot a card or pair of socks with one on but never ever seen one in the wild.

Today felt like my luckiest day as on my wee stroll at lunchtime, past the local pond, there were the birdwatchers with their cameras. I snuck across and there it was!

Unfortunately I didn’t have a decent camera so my shots are poor hence the photo of a photo plus in extras one of his shots he posted later online.

Can’t describe how I felt, emotional, felt like a big sign that life is looking up again.
