Backyard color

A cloudy day today but this tree in my backyard has been gorgeous. On the sunny days it has been glowing.

This morning I sent A over to clean up the gravel as much as he could. After the truck was loaded I took B with me to unload the debris and left the 2 new guys to spread the mulch. A got back before I did, and they only had a few wheelbarrow loads left to finish when I got back. We do need to get a couple more yards to finish the job on Tuesday.

So the guy that destroyed some of my work yesterday when he delivered the soil messaged me his price this morning. He wanted to charge me $325 which meant the delivery charge was almost $200. That charge was about twice the amount of what the other guy charges. I told him it would be minus $200 for labor to fix his mess and minus $100 for me to supply extra gravel to make it look good again. His response to that 'You're joking, right'. No I was not joking. He was rude to one of my workers. This afternoon he tried to call me. I answered, but he didn't want to let me talk, he kept interrupting, so I hung up on him and I blocked his number. Before I blocked his number he said he was going to pick up the soil and he sent me a picture of the driveway, but there was a car parked there. I guess he decided it would be too much work to try and put the soil on his trailer. I went back to the jobsite later this afternoon and checked it, the soil is still there. 

I am tired of dealing with male chauvinists. A few times I have sent A over to one of his jobs to do some pruning, and he always was nice to him. A few weeks ago he called me on a Thursday wanting some help pruning some shrubs and it had to be done by Saturday. It was the weekend I was going to Cape Breton. I told him that I could get St to do it. After the weekend St told me how he behaved around her. He sat in his truck on the street for awhile watching her and M work. Then he complained that they were going to be finished too late, he wasn't going to be able to dump the debris off his trailer that day.

I am rid of him, I don't need him for anything. One thing I will not tolerate is anyone being rude to my workers. He is rude to his own workers too, which is why he has a hard time getting anyone to work for him for any length of time. Whereas my workers, they want to come back to work and they bring their friends.
