From sunshine to clouds
with rain, so our day progressed...
What's for tomorrow?

We left Wenatchee, Washington with blue skies and radiant sunshine about 10 AM. Our destination was Baker City, Oregon before dark.

We travelled along the Columbia River as we left Wenatchee. It's an agricultural area with lovely colours in the fall. The vineyards and orchards have layers of autumn hues.

We stopped for a shot of the river and the tall bluffs above the river on the outskirts of Wenatchee.

We stopped once more at the overlook of the Columbia River by the  Wild Horse Monument  beside I-90 for a shot.

We motored on into Oregon under cloudy skies. At a stop to fill the gas tank near Pendleton, my Australian friend discovered a bottle of ginger beer made in Australia. I will sample the contents when I get to Yuma.

The trip over the summit on the 84 gave us a hint of snow in the rain. The temperature dropped to 3 C at the top. We were happy to arrive in Baker City about 4 PM and dinner revived us. We are having a quiet evening with our laptops.
