Down in the Gorge

Just drove Knaresborough after leaving Fountains Abbey yesterday & did a short walk today, exploring the woodland in the Nidd Gorge below the campsite. The river itself - the one we'd camped alongside back at Pateley Bridge - was quite dark as it flowed along the bottom of the gorge, though bathed in reflected colours from the trees on the north side in the patchy sunshine, and I chose the main Blip to summarise this. The woods were mixed and quite lovely - the extra shows one of the sections which I managed to catch when the clouds parted and allowed the sunlight through for a short time.
