Sneak preview...
I was awake from 4am till 7am, for no reason other than I didn't feel sleepy. On the plus side I got some Christmas ideas noted and thoughts on Christmas dinner so time wasn't wasted :-)
I finally felt my eyes get heavy just after 7am so snuggled back under the quilt and the next time I stirred it was 10.40am! I felt like I'd had a good sleep though so that was fine.
D of course had been up for hours and when I checked my phone I was hoping to find he was in Edinburgh with my wheels getting them fixed, but instead there was a text from him saying he'd phoned the company first thing but they won't be able to look at my wheels till Monday. There bio-engineers were all out on calls but sadly not anywhere near us. As it happens we are going to friends Natalie and Jim's for dinner on Monday night, and they live not far from the wheelchair place, so David will drop it off first thing Monday morning and hopefully we can collect it again (fixed) on our way to theirs on Monday evening.
It's been another lazy day spent in the living room keeping out of the way of the painters. At 4pm the announced they were finished and bid us farewell. We went thorough to see their completed work and I am delighted to say we are over the moon. The dark walls really make the white kitchen cupboards and granite worktops pop. We will now spend the next couple of days getting the kitchen and garden room put back together.
D managed to get the TV re-installed in the garden room along with my comfy chair in place with the TV buttons, crochet, lap top and snacks close at hand before he rushed off out the door at 5pm to Glasgow to meet up with other friends and go and see Hue and Cry all over again! I almost got a ticket as well but just as well I didn't as there's no way he could have pushed me around in Glasgow. Much less accessible than last night's venue!
And so I've had a very relaxing evening with feet up, music on and planning where everything is going to go in the newly painted rooms.
Oh and woke up to the best news ever this morning...interview with Kate Bush on Radio 4 where she's confirmed she will soon be working on new material for a new album! Woo hoo!!! I cannot wait! :-) And here is Little Shrew. Kate is duetting with her son Bertie.
