Patch in the Shadows

Patch has turned out to be Basil's favourite toy. It's an old pyjama case I bought at a fête somewhere.

He used to chase after it, picking it up and dropping it and never really letting us take it off him. But we did and played with him like Piggy in the Middle. Eventually, after a bit of running about, he seemed to think, 'What am I doing this for?' and drop Patch on the floor.

It's the first time in quite a while that he's played like this. But he did today. Here you see Patch in the dappled light of the corridor waiting to be revived.

I had had plans today to get to Oscar's but it hasn't happened. Must get out for a walk though.
