Memory
It has been much too wet today for blipping outside (without getting mould in the camera!) so I've done the MM challenge instead. Set by sk, the subject is 'Memory' and it occurred to me it's museums that hold so much of our collective memories - so I trotted off to the Westgate.
This museum is tiny. Really just what you see here. As it's name suggests, it sits at the top of Winchester's Westgate, a small square room where the medieval guards used to sit/natter/loiter/pour down boiling oil on invading troops. It's a lovely little place to visit.
I've added an extra of some wonderful old graffiti carved or scratched into the stonework - a memory left by of a few of the individuals connected to this place.
Not a lot else for today. My banking saga is progressing, prescriptions have been collected and fruit has been bought.
Now let's just hope for some better weather tomorrow! Have a good evening, all - and huge thanks to sk for hosting today xx
