Hits from the Musicals
In the morning, we put together, and hung, the upper part of one of the doors of the polytunnel. Then W dug up turf, and put down mulch, whilst I was much lazier, and did some sewing.
We had a snack lunch, and in the late afternoon we went into Wexford. Treated ourselves to dinner at White's Hotel before seeing this show.
As part of the Wexford Opera Festival, the Wexford Light Opera Society puts on a show each year - a compilation of song and dance.
We haven't been to any of the operas this year. We haven't made it to any of the pop-up or fringe events either - there's been just too much taking our time and energy in the house and garden - there's always next year.
But W went to sign some paperwork with our Financial Advisor, who sings with WLOS, and she offered to get him tickets for this event (which was, when I checked online, almost totally booked out). So we had seats on the front row.
This is Aoife and her daughter Isabella, towards the end of a solo that Isabella had sung - Willow, from Venice. Not a show or a song that we knew at all, but sung very well by Isabella.
We had a lovely evening - the show was well done, and full of energy.
